  • ST. STUPID’S DAY PARADE – the FIRST CHVRCH of the LAST LAVGH (you’re already a member) convenes for its one whole-y day each year at the EMBARCADERO PLAZA, WEDNESDAY, APRIL 1TH, NOON, rain and/or shine. Bring socks for the sock exchange, pennies for the banker’s heart, dead lottery tickets for the Federal Reserve, noise/music makers for the exorcism and a well dressed sense of absurdity.   • MACY’S FLOWER SHOW ENDS – Join Macy’s for a stunning celebration of our country’s vast and varied landscapes—from purple mountain majesties and across the wilderness! We’ll tell the story through fabulous flora indigenous to each of our nation’s regions to celebrate iconic destinations from sea to shining sea! Apr 3, 2016
  • BOUQUETS TO ART: DeYoung Museum  – Peonies and Picasso. Hydrangeas and Hockney. Art and nature come together to spectacular effect during Bouquets to Art, on view in the de Young galleries from April 5 through 10, 2016, with a preview Gala on Monday, April 4. See arrangements by some of the most innovative floral designers in the Bay Area and beyond, inspired by works from the de Young’s permanent collection. Enjoy a lecture, make a reservation for one of the week’s elegant seated luncheons, and take a chance on the luxury-prize raffle. Apr 5-10, 2016
  • SF GIANTS OPENING DAY  – Apr 7, 2016 vs. Los Angeles Dodgers
  • CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL – The 2016 Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival® will celebrate its 49th year, is one of California’s most prominent celebrations of Asian traditions. Each year, over 200,000 people attend this dazzling display showcasing the color and grace of the Japanese culture and the diversity of the Japanese American Community. Please join us and become a sponsor of this popular Japanese American community event. The event is free and open to the public. Vendors will be charging for their food goods and some retail products; and some specialized events will require a fee. The 2016 Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival® will be held on Saturday and Sunday April 9-10 and April 16-17, 2016.   • SF INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL – The longest-running film festival in the Americas, SFIFF is recognized throughout the world as an extraordinary showcase of cinematic discovery in one of the most beautiful cities in the country. The Festival combines a range of marquee premieres, international competitions, compelling documentaries, new media work, musical performances and star-studded events. Last year’s program featured 252 screenings of 183 films from 47 countries, which were attended by over 315 filmmakers and industry guests from around the globe. The 59th San Francisco International Film Festival (SFIFF) returns this year from April 21–May 5, 2016

  • EARTH DAY FESTIVAL SF – Welcome stewards of our beloved planet. ‘Team Earth Day’ is very excited to announce the 2016 production of Earth Day SF Street Fest. This year we are going all out to create the most impactful, educational and fun event to date. Coming off the success of our 2015 event, E.D.S.F. will continue to promote community involvement, solution based green initiatives, Eco activism, social justice, health and well-being, the arts and earth justice, in celebration of our Beloved Mother Earth and all her inhabitant.   • OPEN ART STUDIOS (SPRING) – Please join us as over 100 artists open our studio doors to the public. Free admission and free parking. This is a rare opportunity to meet the artists, see where they create their work and buy art directly from them. Come see a variety of great artwork, including painting, sculpture, printmaking, jewelry and photography. Enjoy food and music on the edge of the Bay in the newest arts district in San Francisco.   • OPENING DAY ON THE BAY – For 99 years, according to the Yachting Registry, PICYA has opened the yachting season with a parade of boats large and small. Opening Day on the Bay will be Sunday, April 24, 2016, with a decorated parade. The theme for this year’s parade is “Heroes on the Bay”. Showcasing heroes of all kinds: Military, Super Heroes, Historical Heroes, Teachers, Innovators, Bravery, Service, Inspirational Figures and more. This will be a spectacular day to participate in the parade, come aboard the committee boat or for your company to be a sponsor visible to countless boaters and spectators on the Bay.  Apr 24, 2016
